Low Carb Protein Pretzel Holiday Stuffing

This Low Carb Protein Pretzel Holiday Stuffing will help you hit your protein goals while still enjoying all of your favorite holiday foods.

Ingredients (serves 6)
- 1 lb of turkey sausage
- 1 cup of chopped butternut squash
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 cup of chopped celery
- 1/2 chopped yellow onion
- 2 tbsp of fresh sage
- 1 tsp of sea salt
- 2 tsp of chopped garlic
- 2 tbsp of chopped thyme
- 3 whole eggs (whisked)
- 2 cups of chicken or beef broth
- 1/8 tsp of black pepper
- 4 cups of chopped bread (we used low carb)
- 1 bag of Sea Salt Crisp Power Protein Pretzels
- 4 tbsp of salted butter (melted)
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425F.
- In a bowl mix melted butter & garlic.
- Cover the bread in the butter and toss the bread in a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until it’s beautiful golden brown.
- Let it cool down.
- Cook the sausage and bacon in a skillet with thyme, sage, pepper, add in the celery and butternut squash. About 5-6 in medium heat.
- Change the heat of the oven to 350F.
- In a bowl add in the bread, cheese & preztels (saving some for topping) mix in the sausage mix, whisked eggs, broth. Mix well.
- Transfer the mix into a baking dish and top with leftover cheese and pretzels. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
